The British Football Club (BFC) originated from the ideas of my wife with her childhood education background and my sports coaching background. We established a soccer club (S-Club) with a small international community in 2012 at Banpo. 

The origins go further back to my passion for football from as young as I can remember, supporting the mighty Manchester United and starting competitive football from 8 years old. 

Playing through school and Sunday league teams on a regular basis in a small town in Northern England, I started to gain confidence and show leadership qualities that would be the foundation of my coaching experience. Knowledge gained through coaching modules in High School and University as well as completing the FA Junior Coaching License fueled a desire to coach football in the future. 

Additional experiences as a P.E. teacher in England and Korea have reinforced my knowledge to be able to design and conduct age-appropriate classes. Coupled with my wife's background in childhood education, it has been a great formula that has served us well for the best part of 12 years. 

We have been able to branch out to coach numerous ball sports with our previous name of the British Sports Club (BSC), but football has always been my first love.  

BFC's goal is to provide fun, structured football sessions to a wider international community in the centre of Seoul. Children will not only learn football skills, but life skills that we hope they take with them on whatever path they choose in the future.
